NITA STRAUSS - Dead Inside (ft. David Draiman of Disturbed)

It seems like, though I like quite a few Disturbed songs, their sound can be improved ;)

His voice makes that band so familiar, but I LOVE this collaboration with Nita.

Hetfield confirms recently who they wanted to get for their singer "once upon a time"

Great story about the time Metallica was hoping to get John Bush from Armored Saint as their singer, and here is a time they actually got to perform him with him singing The Four Horseman, performed at the Filmore in San Francisco

Tony MacAlpine - Tears of Sahara - Official Clip (High Quality)

The joy of a song rediscovered. it should be easier in today's digital world to find these gems we remember from days gone by, when the only copy we had was on cassette, or for the lucky few, mini-disc. An era before Napster and Limewire and MP3 players, when boom boxes still had a place for an oversized radio that could crank enough for a party. I lost ALL of my original recordings from the time I was 17 to 33, in a cross country move. Although my heart aches for half written song I can barely remember the melody to, until something jogs my memory, I find that I also long for those bootleg copies of a favorite band's live performance or rare unreleased track that you have never seen since. That mix tape you recorded off the radio, when chance allowed you to catch a favorite tune collected in a random order, that is still remembered today, when you expect the song that ends to roll into the one you remember always coming after it. But whatever you do, protect those recordings from the unforgiving sunlight! And it was even worse earlier than that, with Reel to Reel recordings, and splicing in a part for a solo was a matter of diagonal cuts with a razor and taping the edit in manually, with TAPE! If I had today's tech back then, I would have released more albums than Buckethead! If the kids only knew how easy they have it, as far as the tools, editing, saving, sharing, and recording, and then uploading to YouTube, to share their work almost immediately, if it can be seen and heard through the vast sea of recordings and the almighty algorithm that has taken the place of the record company management and talent scouts and large venue manager politics. But today, I find in Oct 1, 2021, a new video premiere Equilibrium and will eventually make it over to tonymacalpine.com :) It's a long way to the top, if you want to rock n roll ..
